Just because I always feel the need to add a picture when I post:

Back in December I took the plunge into the wonderful and very expensive world of DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex).

When my Canon Rebel Xsi arrived, I didn’t want to take it out of the box. I was intimidated by it. The weight, the lens, the numbers. I thought to myself what was I getting into?

I guess I’ve always liked taking photos; recently someone I knew in high school, whom I came across on Facebook said they remember me always carrying a camera around.

Just recently, I decided to take an online photography class. I’ve often enjoyed reading and viewing photoblogs. This particular photographer, Maggie Holmes is a favorite of mine. When she came out with an online class, I quickly jumped at the chance of getting my name down on her waiting list.

I’ve been taking her class for four weeks. Every week I’m learning more and more about photography and putting all the pieces together. I’m loving it!

The girls have been great models. Especially Gabby… who wouldn’t work for an ice cream cone?

We were baking blueberry muffins this morning. Gabby was anxiously awaiting them. I came up from the side and noticed her making silly faces.
